Pillow talk

February 8, 2013 at 9:06 am 2 comments

Last night. Lights out.

Caitlin: Would you go back to high school? Did you have insecurities as a teenager?

Scott: Hm, no, not really.

Caitlin: Really? That’s lucky.

Scott: Let’s just go to sleep.

Caitlin: Do you have a plan for this weekend?

Scott: Not really.

Caitlin: Oh…are you worried about that?

Scott: Cait.

Caitlin: But it’s my birthday weekend.

Scott: Yes.

Caitlin: Ok, fine, what should we talk about? You pick the topic.

Scott: <heavy sigh>

Caitlin: So…are you saying you don’t want to do a bedtime interview?

Scott: <silence>

He reaches over and strokes my neck. Then I feel him apply pressure on the back of my neck with his thumb.

Caitlin: What are you doing?

Scott: Trying to do that thing “Kevin” does in Little Fockers where he puts that kid in a sleep hold.

Caitlin: Ok, well, it’s not working. But feel free to rub my neck as we talk.
